Our professional team is experienced in supporting the mastery and application of the skills needed for successful careers in the helping professions, specifically in the fields of behavioral and health care. For three decades, we have been training in the community, at schools and universities. We pride ourselves on using innovative adult learning principles to lead interactive sessions that engage learners. Our training experiences raise learners’ awareness while increasing knowledge and skills using evidence-based and people-centric practices.
We have delivered workshops, training and coaching to physicians, physical therapists, chiropractors, nurses, behavioral health practitioners, peer recovery specialists, case managers, service coordinators, administrative staff and leaders.

Our Leader
Amy Shanahan (she, her, hers) received a Masters of Science degree at the SUNY Buffalo State College International Center for Studies in Creativity. Throughout her extensive career, she has facilitated strategic planning sessions, coached individuals and teams, and provided training-of-trainers. Amy finds joy in continuing her own quest for knowledge by keeping up to date on the most current training studies and methodologies. Her energetic style and passion for learning engages and empowers people to exceed their goals.

Advanced Implementation Specialist
Amy collaborates with ORN, a network that provides training and technical assistance via local experts across the country, focusing on applying evidence-based practices in prevention, treatment and recovery to meet locally identified needs.
In this role, Amy assists providers in setting and achieving strategic goals for implementing best practices in their agencies and communities.
Trainer
Amy has been a trainer for the Pennsylvania Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs for over 16 years and has offered a variety of trainings to providers across the commonwealth.
Training topics include: Screening & Assessment, Confidentiality, Clinical Supervision, Creative Problem Solving, Motivational Interviewing, Using Positive Incentives to Change Behaviors
